About BVCF

Who
The national Black Virtual Career Fair (BVCF) began in 2019 as a joint venture of two Black professional organizations: the African American Employee Network (AAEN), a communications network serving and supporting African American professionals in the area of information, events (education, networking) and career development; and Onyx Community Connection (Onyx), a Black professionals organization committed to amplifying Black excellence through regular business, social and community service events and communications. Together as BVCF, we leverage a syndicated network to reach qualified candidates nationwide.

Why
There are actions each and every one of us can take to advance diversity at our organizations, no matter if you're a recruiter, hiring manager or a CEO. Black Virtual Career Fair's continuous ourreach to black professionals in combination with an interactive platform provides an effective diversity sourcing solution for high growth companies.

Do you need to identify as Black to participate?
No! Our network and job board are public and open to all.
Our #1 rule is that anyone utilizing our platform, either as an opportunity giver or seeker, does not discriminate, exclude, harm or support harm against any group of people in any way, shape or form.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create more effective pathways between employers and professionals by focusing on access, alignment, and consistent opportunity.
We believe hiring should go beyond job postings—connecting the right candidates with the right companies through intentional outreach, curated networks, and ongoing engagement.
Our Approach
Black Virtual Career Fair was built to move beyond traditional hiring models.
Instead of relying on one-time events or passive job applications, we provide a more structured and effective approach—combining:
- Ongoing candidate sourcing and outreach
- A curated network of U.S. and Canada-based professionals
- Continuous job visibility and opportunity sharing
- Targeted virtual hiring experiences
This allows employers to build consistent pipelines and candidates to access opportunities that align with their experience.
Our Focus
We work with:
- Employers with ongoing hiring needs seeking better candidate alignment
- Professionals looking for more direct access to opportunities beyond traditional job boards
Our network is focused on candidates based in the United States and Canada, allowing us to provide targeted, relevant connections for North American hiring.
