On May 30, 2019, Black Virtual Career Fair hosted its inaugural virtual career fair, matching over 1100 black professionals with exciting career opportunities at forward thinking and inclusion minded companies.A virtual career fair is an interactive online platform connecting potential candidates to employers and employment opportunities. Virtual career fairs are quickly gaining prominence because of their efficiency, convenience and most importantly effectiveness.The virtual career fairs target technical and nontechnical professionals and are promoted to a curated network of talented Northern California Black professionals.
Where will the event be held?
This is an online event. You do not have to travel to a specific location and you can participate anywhere you have internet access, including mobile and tablet devices.
How does the virtual fair work?
See How It Works. Black Virtual Career Fair runs on a virtual platform built to connect employers with candidates in a virtual environment through live interactive tools including audio, video and text chat, rich content and downloadable files.
What is Black Virtual Career Fair?
Black Virtual Career Fair is a joint venture of the African American Employee Network (AAEN), a communications network serving African American professionals and Onyx Community Connection (Onyx) a Black professionals organization committed to amplifying Black excellence through regular business, social and community service events and communications.
Do I need to register?
Yes. It is important that you register in advance as employers often review preregistered candidates and arrange interview sessions ahead of the fair, as well as in real-time.Do I need to download or install any software for this event?No. You only need to have internet access.
